As i lay in disbelief,
I tightly cling onto her arm.
Tears of joy rolling down,
dreading the moment when
this feeling will be gone.
It still frequents my mind,
The thought that it’ll all be fine.
But beyond the feeling of it being true,
nothing in this world was as real as you.
As I watch from a world afar,
the smile, the joy, the ever lasting glow.
I ask myself, how can it be true,
a world in which everything’s as real as you.
As I open my eyes, it makes me realise.
Absence is to love, what the wind is to fire.
And beyond the feeling of it being true,
Nothing in this world was as real as you.
